IFE Digital Systems

the reservoir technology department at ife is a research group that also offers analytical services to the industry, research institutes and academia. we are a creative team with backgrounds in chemistry, physics, mathematics and geology. our laboratories have a variety of high-precision analytical instruments to measure stable and radiogenic isotopes, element concentrations and organic compounds in fluid, solids and biological samples. in addition, we can simulate most natural processes within in situ pt conditions using custom-built experimental autoclaves and other apparatus. we work on problems related to reservoir compartmentalization, seal quality, hydraulic fracture evaluation, petroleum generation, migration and leakage, formation of chimneys and seepage, fingerprinting and origin of contaminants, scaling of lab experiments to field processes. the results of our research provide smart solutions to the exploration and production of hydrocarbons and geothermal energy, and to the protection of the environment with the safe long-term storage of carbon and the monitoring of pollution.
