linda long, ph.d., founded strategic communication consulting, inc in 1993. scc works with global (us-based) clients ranging from major consultancies to nonprofits to fortune 1000 companies. the firm’s specialty is logic in problem solving and persuasive communications. we offer training and coaching in problem structuring, data synthesis leading to logical storylines, and execution in written, visual, and oral forms. we also consult in team building and change communications. in addition, the firm supports senior management in writing/editing board and c-level communications, along with other executive coaching arenas. with almost 40 years in the field of communication, linda worked for 6 years as a communication consultant for mckinsey & company and has had her own consulting practice for 21 years. she has also taught at various universities, including the masters level management programs at: kellogg school of management, northwestern university in evanston, illinois; the jones school of rice university in houston, texas; and goizueta business school at emory university in atlanta, georgia; mendoza school of business, notre dame in south bend, indiana; university of wisconsin, school of business in madison, wisconsin; as well as the undergraduate programs at the university of houston and others. with an extended network of experts, including mckinsey alums and other highly regarded professionals, scc is able to meet clients’ broad-based needs in problem structuring and communication: • executive coaching • training workshops: - steps to problem structuring - persuading through logic - visual design for presentations - presentation delivery skills - brainstorming - facilitating • storyline development • writing/editing for c-level • communication consulting: - team building - driving change through internal communication
